In Video: 187 fugitives and beggars, 4 expatriates with expired visas, and 9 expatriates who stole cables, iron, exhausts, and accessories apprehended

The Ministry of Interior announced that the Capital Governorate Security Directorate, in cooperation with the Kuwait Municipality and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, carried out an extensive security campaign within the governorate. The operation resulted in the apprehension of 187 wanted individuals involved in criminal cases, absentees, and violators of the residency and labor laws, as well as 23 other persons wanted for judicial detention. Additionally, four foreign nationals whose visas had expired, beggars, and three itinerant vendors were detained. Ten motorcycles were referred to the impound lot, 445 traffic violations were issued, 19 abandoned vehicles were removed, and one restaurant was shut down.

In a separate development, a security campaign conducted by officers from the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, following several reports of thefts and fires in the district, led to the arrest of 45 individuals. Security inquiries revealed that 36 of them were wanted in connection with absconding cases, including two women wanted in connection with an incest case. Both women were referred to the Department for Combating Human Trafficking and Negative Phenomena to take the necessary legal action against them.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the campaign also resulted in the arrest of nine individuals involved in various crimes and violations, including the theft of cables, copper, iron, car exhaust systems, and women’s accessories. One person was found in possession of tobacco, while another was discovered with substances suspected to be methamphetamine (shabu) and chemical drugs.
