Civil Aviation Authority: Joining the Airports Council International enables leveraging a broad network of international expertise

The Public Authority for Civil Aviation announced today that its accession to the Airports Council International (ACI) represents an opportunity to leverage a broad network of international expertise, access studies, data, operational benchmarks, and participate in committees, working groups, and specialized events addressing the key challenges and future trends in the airport industry.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Authority emphasized that this step aligns with its strategy to expand its presence in specialized international organizations and institutions, enhance international cooperation and partnerships, and contribute to the development of Kuwait’s civil aviation sector and the improvement of services provided to passengers.
The Authority noted that membership enables access to ACI’s specialized programs and initiatives in areas such as passenger experience, service quality measurement, operational performance, safety, security, sustainability, digital transformation, and cybersecurity, alongside training and capacity-building programs that help develop the national competencies and capabilities of professionals working in Kuwait’s civil aviation sector.
It further highlighted that the Council facilitates the exchange of experiences and best practices with airports and airport operators worldwide, allowing members to benefit from international expertise in developing infrastructure and services and enhancing operational efficiency, thereby supporting the Authority’s plans to develop the Kuwait International Airport system and keep pace with the rapid developments in the global aviation industry.
The Authority added that its membership strengthens Kuwait’s presence within the global airport network and supports its strategic direction toward developing Kuwait International Airport by leveraging best practices and specialized expertise in the airport sector.
ACI is the global organization representing the interests of airports and their operators, with 811 member organizations managing and representing more than 2,200 airports in over 160 countries. It works to support the development of the airport sector in areas such as safety, security, operational efficiency, sustainability, service quality, and passenger experience.
