Fabinho joins Trabzonspor

Brazilian midfielder Fabinho has joined his former Liverpool teammate, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, in defending the colors of Trabzonspor on a two-year deal, as announced by the fourth-placed Turkish league side. Trabzonspor stated in a press release that the 32-year-old Brazilian, who became a free agent after spending three seasons with Saudi club Al-Ittihad, will earn an annual salary of 4 million euros (4.6 million dollars) in Turkey. The Brazilian was one of the standout players for French club Monaco during their last league title win in 2017, before joining Liverpool the following year, where he won the UEFA Champions League (2019), the English Premier League (2020), and the FA Cup (2022). He became a key figure in German manager Jürgen Klopp’s system, alongside Salah. The Egyptian star received a grand welcome in Trabzon after nine seasons with the Reds, during which he collected nine titles. The captain of the Pharaohs’ national team scored two goals in his first start in the Turkish league.
