Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs: Committed to Supporting the Progress of Joint Gulf Cooperation

Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Suwailim, stated that the ministry’s participation in the 11th meeting of assistants to the ministers responsible for Islamic affairs and endowments in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held in Saudi Arabia, comes within the framework of supporting the trajectory of joint Gulf cooperation. Al-Suwailim told KUNA before departing for Saudi Arabia that the ministry is keen on supporting joint Gulf efforts in the fields of Islamic affairs and endowments, and on enhancing cooperation and coordination among the competent authorities in member states. He added that the meeting addresses a number of topics and axes of common interest, and examines ways to develop areas of cooperation and exchange expertise and experiences among GCC member states, paving the way for initiatives that serve the trajectory of joint Gulf cooperation in these fields.
