Kuwait and Al-Arabi draw in the opening match of the Zain League

The top-tier clash between Al-Ahli (Kuwait) and Al-Arabi ended in a 3-3 draw this evening at the Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium, marking the opening match of the Zain Premier League. Al-Ahli’s goals were scored by Ali Khalaf (22nd minute) and Palestinian player Zaid Qanbar (53rd and 87th minutes, the latter from a penalty). Al-Arabi’s goals came from Bahraini player Mohammed Marhoon (30th and 41st minutes) and Congolese striker Malick Zola (90+3rd minute). Each team earned one point at the start of their campaign in the tournament.
