9 Expats Arrested for Theft of Cables, Iron, Exhausts, and Women's Accessories

A campaign carried out by officers of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation, involving a broad security operation in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area in response to several reports of thefts and fires in the district, resulted in the arrest of 45 individuals. Security inquiries revealed that 36 of them were wanted in absentia for various cases, including two women wanted in connection with incest charges; they were referred to the Counter-Trafficking in Persons and Negative Phenomena Directorate to take the necessary legal action against them.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the operation also led to the arrest of nine individuals involved in various crimes and violations, including the theft of cables, copper, iron, car exhaust systems, and women’s accessories. Additionally, one person was found in possession of tobacco, while another was discovered with substances suspected to be methamphetamine (shabu) and chemical narcotics.

The detainees were referred to the competent authorities, alongside the preparation of necessary reports regarding the deportation of those subject to expulsion from the country.
