Prime Minister: Cooperation and coordination among government entities to remove obstacles to the implementation of the "T2" airport project

His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, accompanied by the ministers, conducted an inspection tour of the new Kuwait International Airport Terminal 2 (T2) project, on the sidelines of the Cabinet meeting he chaired at the passenger terminal building of the new Kuwait International Airport T2 project.

During the inspection tour, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, and the ministers listened to a briefing presented by Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali, Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Chairman of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation Sheikh Hamad Al-Mubarak, and the project managers, regarding all details related to the new Kuwait International Airport T2 project, the latest developments concerning the project’s implementation status, and all matters pertaining to monitoring progress in the project’s works according to its three packages:

- Package No. 1: Construction, completion, furnishing, and maintenance of the new passenger terminal building.

- Package No. 2: Construction, completion, furnishing, and maintenance of service buildings, access roads to the new passenger terminal building, and parking areas.

- Package No. 3: Construction, completion, furnishing, and maintenance of aircraft parking stands and taxiways, and service buildings for the new passenger terminal.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah emphasized the importance of the new Kuwait International Airport T2 project as one of the country’s major developmental projects, stressing the importance of cooperation and coordination among all government entities with the Ministry of Public Works to remove any obstacles that may hinder the project’s implementation, with the aim of accelerating work progress to ensure continuous advancement in executing this vital project according to the specified timeline for its operation, as this project represents a qualitative leap in Kuwait’s air transport sector.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the significant efforts undertaken by Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali, Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Chairman of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation Sheikh Hamad Al-Mubarak, the project managers, and the relevant government entities represented by the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Finance, Court of Accounts, Office of Fatwa and Legislation, and the Central Tenders Committee, for their role in accelerating the implementation of the project’s works.
