Saudi Arabia Welcomes US Decision to Remove Syria from State Sponsor of Terrorism List

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Kingdom welcomes the United States’ declaration of its approval of the decision to remove the Syrian Arab Republic from the list of state sponsors of terrorism. In a statement carried by the official news agency, SPA, the ministry said that Saudi Arabia extends its sincere congratulations to the government and people of the fraternal Syrian Arab Republic on this step, and expresses its wishes for Syria’s continued security, stability, and prosperity, as well as its ongoing progress in reconstruction and development, in a manner that fulfills the aspirations of its people.
