Warba Announces Branch Operating Hours During the Prophet's Birthday Holiday

Woori Bank announced the operating hours of its branches during the Mawlid al-Nabi holiday, in line with the circular issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait declaring Thursday, August 27, 2026, an official holiday in observance of the Prophet’s Birthday. Regular official working hours will resume on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The bank clarified that all Woori Bank branches, including the SIDI branch, will be closed on Thursday, August 27, 2026, to celebrate the occasion, while banking services for customers will continue to be provided through several branches that will remain open during the holiday period.

In this context, Abdullah Nasser Al-Shaail, Senior Branch Manager for the Retail Banking Group at Woori Bank, noted that three of its branches will continue to provide banking services to customers during the holiday: the Egaila Branch, the Avenues Branch, and the Airport Branch. This measure reflects the bank’s commitment to offering additional service channels to customers and meeting their banking needs during the holiday. Al-Shaail encouraged customers to take advantage of the services offered by the open branches, as well as the bank’s digital and electronic channels, which enable customers to conduct various banking transactions conveniently and securely without the need to visit branches.
