Minister of Social Affairs visits 6 public benefit associations

Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, and Social Development, issued six decisions dissolving six public benefit associations, in accordance with public interest, as stated in the official gazette “Kuwait Today,” issued on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

The ministerial decisions stipulated the following:

- Decision No. 278 of 2026 dissolving the Kuwait Interior Design Association.

- Decision No. 279 of 2026 dissolving the Kuwait Diving Association.

- Decision No. 280 of 2026 dissolving the Kuwait Insurance Association.

- Decision No. 281 of 2026 dissolving the Kuwait Sports Sciences Association.

- Decision No. 282 of 2026 dissolving the Kuwait Municipal Work Association.

- Decision No. 283 of 2026 dissolving the Life Skills Association.

The issued decisions emphasized that the board of directors and employees of the dissolved associations are prohibited from disposing of their funds and documents, and must hand over anything in their custody to the persons appointed by the Ministry to directly carry out liquidation procedures. The decisions further stipulated that their provisions shall take effect from the date of their publication in the official gazette, and that competent authorities are to be informed and implement their contents.
