Ministry of Education: Applications Open for Teaching and Administrative Staff and Support Positions at the "Gifted Schools" Project

Alaa Khalifa As part of its ongoing efforts to develop the educational system and enhance an environment of creativity and excellence, the Ministry of Education announced the opening of applications for teaching staff, administrative personnel, and supporting technical positions to work within the “Schools for the Gifted” project. This is one of the developmental initiatives supervised by the Office for the Gifted, under the auspices of the Minister of Education, aimed at building an integrated national system to identify, nurture, and develop the abilities and talents of gifted students.

The Ministry clarified that admission and selection criteria prioritize Kuwaiti candidates or those with a Kuwaiti mother. Applicants must hold a university degree in the required specialization. For teaching staff members, the university degree must be in the specific field required for the teaching position, in addition to having achieved an “Excellent” grade during the last two years. The Ministry added that a key requirement is possessing at least two years of practical experience, with preference given to candidates who have prior experience working with gifted students or who have distinguished activities and achievements in their field of specialization. Proficiency in using computers and their applications is also required.

Other essential conditions include providing a certificate of good conduct, ensuring the applicant’s employment record is free from administrative penalties, and possessing the necessary academic qualifications and professional experience to address the needs of gifted students and the nature of work in a specialized educational environment.

The Ministry noted that applicants will undergo an admission test and a personal interview. Final selection will be made based on a competitive ranking system among candidates, ensuring the recruitment of the most qualified individuals capable of contributing to the care of gifted students, the development of their abilities, and the achievement of the project’s objectives. The Ministry urged interested parties to register electronically via the “Mawhub” platform between August 23 and 30, completing the required data and attaching the necessary documents and papers in accordance with the specified application guidelines.

The Ministry of Education emphasized its commitment to attracting qualified educational, administrative, and technical cadres to work within a specialized educational environment dedicated to identifying gifted students, nurturing their talents, and developing their abilities. This contributes to providing an educational environment that stimulates creativity, innovation, and excellence. It was noted that applications are open to qualified personnel from all educational districts in the State of Kuwait.

The Ministry stated that attracting qualified cadres represents one of the fundamental pillars for the success of the “Schools for the Gifted” project, thereby enhancing investment in national intellects and energies, and supporting the construction of a specialized educational environment that contributes to identifying talents, developing their abilities, and consolidating a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence within the educational system.
