"Talent and Creativity": Registration Open for Training Leading to the National 'STEM Racing' Competition

The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Talent and Creativity, one of the centers under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, announced the opening of registrations for training programs designed to qualify participants for the national “STEM Racing” competition, which integrates engineering, technology, innovation, and competitive spirit.

In a press statement, the center said the training program aims to develop students’ capabilities and prepare them for global competitions, offering a comprehensive hands-on educational experience that enables students to apply principles of aerodynamics, mechanics, and manufacturing in the design and construction of high-performance racing cars.

The program allows students to acquire advanced technical skills using specialized engineering tools, including Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Computer Numerical Control (CNC) manufacturing, and 3D printing.

It also focuses on developing project management, teamwork, leadership, communication, identity building, and branding skills, providing students with an integrated experience that combines engineering, technical, and creative aspects. Furthermore, the program aims to enhance excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), offering an applied learning experience that simulates real-world challenges while fostering problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and readiness for international competitions.

The program provides students with an opportunity to compete at the national level and qualify to represent the State of Kuwait in the global finals of the “STEM Racing” competition in Singapore.

The center invited Kuwaiti students in the ninth, tenth, and eleventh grades enrolled in public or private schools to register for the program. Applicants must demonstrate good proficiency in English, both spoken and written, as well as a passion or excellence in scientific, engineering, or technological fields.

The center urged eligible students to take the initiative to register and join this educational and competitive experience, benefiting from specialized training that combines engineering, innovation, and teamwork, ultimately preparing them to compete at both national and global levels.
