"As long as it's going smoothly"

Certainty is knowing that God is capable, even when circumstances declare something impossible. In every difficult twist of life, there is a door that never closes: the door of trust in God. Adversities may intensify, circumstances may constrict, and unexpected calamities may befall you, yet hope and relief remain, and your good opinion of God is the radiant light that never extinguishes—a certainty that never abandons its possessor. He is closer than our expectations and reaches you swiftly, without hesitation.

We must hold fast to God’s power, wisdom, and will, recognizing that He can facilitate matters despite difficult conditions. Therefore, if you pass through a hard situation, cling to a good opinion of God. Even if problems multiply, as long as you keep moving forward, all will be well.

Omar Taqi al-Din al-Rafii excelled in his words:

“Always maintain a good opinion of God,

For none but God has the authority to command or forbid.

If the thing you hoped for eludes you,

Be patient with beautiful patience, so that your reward is not lost.

Your sufficiency is that you have sincerely intended for God,

And sought His guidance through prayer; thus, good is the outcome.”

Everything that comes from God is good. Despite calamities, God grants you peace of mind and contentment. Goodness does not delay; it arrives at the time God has decreed for you. So be patient, for with patience, matters are resolved by God’s will, closed doors are opened, and confusion is dispelled. As the ancients said, “With the key of resolute patience, the knotted affairs of life are untied.”

We implore God, the Most High and Almighty, to lift affliction from us and ordain for us the best of destinies, continually repeating: “As long as you keep moving forward, all will be well.”
