Kuwait City Welcomes Sang Pierre and Establishes a Camp in Turkey
Kuwait officials: Khaitan Club has signed Gambian professional Sang Pierre to bolster the first-team squad for the upcoming season, which is set to kick off in a few days. The 32-year-old Sang Pierre has previously played for Al-Shabab, Al-Nasr, and Al-Salmiya, and operates as a defensive midfielder and center-back. Sang Pierre has arrived in the country to join his new team’s training sessions, known as the “Red and Blacks.” Khaitan’s management is also anticipating the arrival of another African professional, a striker, in the coming days. Currently, the “Red and Blacks” have Nigerian defender Chima Akas, Brazilian striker Alex, Senegalese striker Ibrahima Gaye, in addition to Sang Pierre. Meanwhile, Khaitan’s management has decided to hold an external training camp for the team in Turkey during the break for the national team’s participation in the Gulf Cup (Gulf 27), scheduled to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from September 23 to October 6.
