Coinciding with fewer than 50 days remaining until the kickoff of the third edition, the Gulf Football Union announced today the new logo for the Gulf Club Champions League for the 2026-2027 season. The competition will begin on October 13 and run until April 30, 2027, featuring 12 clubs representing the member national federations.
Kuwait will be represented in the Gulf tournament by Kazma, alongside Al-Ittihad and Neom (Saudi Arabia), Al-Nassr and Ajman (UAE), Qatar and Al-Duhail (Qatar), Erbil and Al-Zawraa (Iraq), Al-Shabab (Oman), Al-Riffa (Bahrain), and Shabab Hadhramout (Yemen).
The new logo embodies the growing stature of the Gulf Club Champions League and outlines the contours of a new phase of development and excellence at the club competition level. The design is centered on football, the core of the tournament, surrounded by fluid, interconnected elements arranged in a circular formation that conveys continuous motion. This symbolizes the unity among the member Gulf federations, their sporting synergy, and the fair competition that brings together the elite clubs of the region in a single championship.
This composition reflects the tournament’s journey, encompassing passion, challenge, and ambition—a journey that begins with the opening whistle and extends to the moment of the champion’s coronation, narrating a new story of achievement, creativity, and determination in each edition.
Jassim Al-Rumaihi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Football Union, stated: “The logo design reinforces the Gulf Football Union’s vision of organizing an exceptional edition across all dimensions, through fruitful cooperation with the member Gulf federations and relevant stakeholders. We are confident that the logo of the Gulf Club Champions League, as it heads toward its third edition, will resonate with the hearts of football fans and receive widespread acclaim throughout the region.”
He added: “The unveiling of the tournament logo marks the beginning of the countdown to the most important club competition in the region. Over the coming period, the Gulf Football Union will work closely with all member national federations to ensure an unforgettable experience for both the fans of the participating clubs and the players.”
As preparations for the tournament enter their final stages, the Gulf Club Champions League logo will be a key element displayed in all stadiums hosting the competition, as well as on other digital platforms associated with the event. This will underscore efforts to elevate the status and value of the brand representing the region’s premier club competition.
