Israeli military escalation continues in southern Syria.. Damascus condemns: a blatant violation of sovereignty

An Israeli army drone targeted an individual on the road connecting Beit Jan farm and the town of Beit Jan in the Damascus countryside of Syria. Meanwhile, southern Syria is witnessing continuous Israeli military movements, which have expanded from aerial strikes to ground incursions into villages and border areas.

Syria condemned the Israeli raid that injured a person south of Damascus, describing it as a “blatant violation of sovereignty.” The Israeli military stated that it had targeted a “terrorist” in the area.

In a statement carried by the official Sana news agency yesterday, Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “This aggression constitutes a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” holding “the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the consequences of these repeated attacks.”

Sana reported that a Syrian citizen was injured when an Israeli occupation drone struck a car in Beit Jan town, Damascus countryside. The injured man was transported to a hospital to receive necessary medical treatment.

In the Quneitra countryside, a force of six Israeli military vehicles infiltrated from the Abu al-Ghayth gate before continuing toward the Al-Raqad Dam area, adjacent to the occupied Syrian Golan. Field reports indicated that the Israeli military vehicles were stationed around the dam, with no recorded raids, searches, or arrests.

In a separate movement, an Israeli patrol raided the village of Al-Basali in the Quneitra countryside, where it searched a house before withdrawing from the area. No information was available regarding the arrest of any civilians.

These developments are part of a series of repeated Israeli military incursions and movements in the Quneitra and Daraa countryside, where areas near the line of the occupied Golan are witnessing escalating Israeli field activity.

These movements vary from incursions into villages and towns, the establishment of temporary checkpoints, and conducting searches, to deployments around certain sites and border areas.
