Detention of a resident who stabbed a citizen over a dispute regarding parking space priority in Jahra
Abdullah Qanaisa: A resident of the country was detained illegally at the Saad Al-Abdullah Police Station and charged with attempted murder, following an incident in which he stabbed a citizen over a dispute about parking priority at a shopping mall parking lot.
A security source described the victim’s condition as stable, noting that doctors at Al-Jahra Hospital administered first aid, which led to an improvement in his condition. The suspect is scheduled to undergo investigations to determine the reasons for keeping a knife in his vehicle and whether he is linked to any robbery cases.
According to a security source, an incident report was received by the Ministry of Interior’s operations center regarding a fight in a parking lot in Al-Jahra Governorate. Security forces responded immediately and found a Kuwaiti youth injured in the hand after being stabbed. The perpetrator, in his thirties, was arrested and admitted to having argued with the victim over parking priority in the lot. Both the victim and the perpetrator confirmed that both claimed priority for the parking space.
