Ministry of Public Works prepares to tender infrastructure development in Al-Maqwa, Fahaheel, and Kuwait International Airport

Kuwait officials: The Ministry of Public Works is preparing to launch a public tender for the study, design, and supervision of infrastructure improvement works at several sites, including Kuwait International Airport and the Al-Maqwa and Fahaheel areas. This initiative is part of the Ministry’s annual plan for supply, contracting, and service contracts scheduled to be launched during the 2026-2027 fiscal year, within the framework of the Public Health Engineering sector projects.

The project aims to enhance the efficiency of sewage networks and address issues related to network aging and the expiration of their service life, thereby contributing to improved service levels and reducing failures and operational problems. It also seeks to strengthen environmental protection and mitigate pollution sources.

The works include conducting technical studies and preparing necessary designs for infrastructure improvements at the sites covered by the project, along with supervising the implementation, enabling the identification of appropriate engineering solutions and enhancing network components according to the actual needs of each area.

According to the launch plan, the tender is expected to be announced in December next year, with contracting to be carried out through a public tender. The implementation period for the works has been set at 730 days.
