UK Foreign Office cancels previous travel advisory against traveling to Kuwait

Osama Diab The British Foreign Office announced an update to its travel guidance for British nationals wishing to travel to Kuwait, reversing its previous warning that advised against travel to the country amid regional security tensions.

However, the Foreign Office maintained its general security warnings regarding the situation in the Middle East, noting that conditions remain “unpredictable” given ongoing risks associated with the possibility of new attacks or sudden escalation.

The ministry urged British citizens in the region to exercise caution and prepare for potential disruptions to travel, including the cancellation or suspension of some flights, as well as the possibility of temporary or periodic closures of airspace.

The update to the British guidance comes in light of recent security developments in the region, with the removal of the warning against travel to Kuwait reflecting an updated British assessment of the risks associated with visiting the country.
