Sweden: Attackers who injured several people with a sword inside a school arrested
Several people were injured in a sword attack at a secondary school in central Sweden, while media reports stated that police shot and arrested the attacker. Vaggeryd municipality said in a statement, “An attacker wielding a sword entered Brunelsskolan school and injured several people,” adding that police had apprehended the assailant. The newspaper Aftonbladet reported that the attacker was shot in the leg by police. Sweden’s public broadcaster, SVT, said that ambulances, police vehicles, and a police helicopter were outside the school in the small town of about 12,000 residents.
