Egyptian Central Bank Warns Against Fraudulent Phone Calls to Steal Data and Funds

The Central Bank of Egypt has warned against fraudulent phone calls in which callers impersonate bank employees or workers at financial institutions in order to obtain customers’ personal and banking data and steal their funds. The central bank emphasized the necessity of not sharing any data or confidential information with callers, regardless of their claimed position or the organization they purport to represent, while always maintaining the confidentiality of banking and personal data.
