Bitcoin price rises more than 5% for the third consecutive day

Bitcoin’s price rose more than 5% on Friday for the third consecutive day, driven by optimism over U.S. cryptocurrency regulations and an unexpected move by the U.S. Treasury Department to repurchase more of its bonds, which bolstered demand for high-risk assets. The world’s largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization surged 6.6% to reach $77,472.44. This price marks Bitcoin’s highest level since last May, and it has risen more than 20% since Wednesday.
