"Electricity Authority": Opening of applications for certification as an HVAC and electrical engineer

Darine Al-Ali: The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has announced the opening of applications for the certification of HVAC and electrical engineers, targeting engineering offices, consulting firms, HVAC companies, government entities, and state institutions.

The ministry set September 15 of next year as the deadline for submitting engineer certification applications, clarifying that interested parties must meet the requirements and send all required documents via the dedicated email address of the HVAC or Electrical Engineering Certification Committee, established under Committee Resolution No. 336 of 2026.

The ministry emphasized that submitting documents does not guarantee final acceptance, noting that all applicant engineers will be required to take a test and attend a personal interview, with the committee to announce the dates at a later stage. This announcement comes as part of efforts to regulate the certification procedures for engineering offices, HVAC companies, and related entities, ensuring compliance with the technical standards and specifications approved by the ministry.
