His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, chaired a meeting regarding the observations and requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The meeting discussed the latest developments concerning cooperation and coordination among various relevant state entities to ensure compliance with the anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism framework as a strategic priority, thereby enhancing Kuwait’s readiness and fulfillment of international requirements and standards.
Attendees included Minister of Justice and Advisor Nasser Al-Samit, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Subaih Al-Makhzoomi, Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Al-Boudi, Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Diwan Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait Basil Al-Haroun, and a number of representatives from the relevant specialized entities.
