Egyptian Central Bank Keeps Interest Rate Unchanged

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Egypt, at its meeting today, Thursday, decided to keep the key interest rates unchanged. It was decided to maintain the deposit and lending rates for overnight transactions, as well as the Central Bank’s main operation rate, at 19%, 20%, and 19.5%, respectively. The credit and discount rate was also kept at 19.5%.
