Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey Strongly Condemn Israeli Attacks in Gaza: Undermine Regional and International Efforts to End the Conflict

Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, in their capacity as mediators, condemned Israel’s recent attacks in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children, expressing deep concern over ongoing violations. The three countries affirmed in a joint statement that “the escalation of Israeli attacks undermines regional and international efforts at a critical juncture, as intensive efforts are being made to implement the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, including the meeting between the Peace Council and Israeli officials and taking constructive steps in the negotiation process.” They emphasized the need for “Israel’s full commitment to all its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and refraining from any actions that could weaken the ceasefire or lead to an escalation of tensions.” In light of the devastating consequences of Israel’s ongoing aggression in the region, the mediators renewed their call on the international community and the Peace Council, under the leadership of US President Donald Trump, to take the necessary steps to ensure compliance with the ceasefire in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2803 and to exert effective pressure to prevent any further escalation.
