Trump announces start of economic war and unprecedented isolation against Iran

US President Donald Trump announced the most severe economic crackdown ever imposed on Iran.

Trump wrote on his platform, Truth Social: “No one has given Iran a greater opportunity than I have to reach an agreement. Unfortunately, they have missed this opportunity. Therefore, today I am announcing the harshest economic crackdown ever against any country! This will be an economic war and isolation on an unprecedented scale. Their naval fleet has been destroyed, their air force neutralized, their military factories reduced to rubble, their currency worthless, and their country on the brink of collapse. I also announced today that any country whose financial institutions, companies, airports, or government agencies provide any form of support to Iran will face severe economic consequences. Oil smuggling, swap lines, money transfers, exchange offices, ship registries, and shell companies—this must all stop now. You know who you are. This will be a decisive economic day, and we need all our allies to stand with the United States of America to isolate and defeat the Iranian threat. These extremists are on the verge of collapse, and these historic measures will paralyze them and eliminate their ability to spread terror worldwide. Iran will never possess a nuclear weapon.”
