Arab and Islamic solidarity with Syria.. Condemnations of Israeli airstrikes on the military airport in Idlib
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, expressed his strongest condemnation and rejection of the raids carried out by Israeli occupation forces, which targeted the Abu al-Dhaher military airport in the Idlib province of Syria.
In a statement, Al-Budaiwi said that the Israeli occupation’s brazen targeting of Syrian territory constitutes an unacceptable violation of its sovereignty and the sanctity of its land, and runs counter to international rules and norms that prohibit interference in the sovereignty of states. He emphasized that the continuation of such practices would exacerbate tensions and escalation, undermining regional and international efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the region. He called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take a firm stance against these violations, working to halt Israeli occupation attacks on Syrian territory to preserve its security and stability. Al-Budaiwi reaffirmed the GCC states’ solidarity with the Arab Republic of Syria, its sovereignty, and the integrity of its territory.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Cairo’s complete rejection of the continued violations of Syrian territory by the occupation, stressing the necessity for the international community to assume its responsibilities in ending the occupation’s repeated violations and halting the policy of imposing facts on the ground by force, thereby helping to contain the successive escalation cycles witnessed in the region.

Pakistan also strongly condemned the “unjustified” attack. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry stated that “these provocative acts constitute a blatant violation of international law and will further undermine peace and stability in the region.” The statement added that “Pakistan expresses its firm solidarity with the brotherly Syrian people and reiterates its full support for the sovereignty of the Arab Republic of Syria and the integrity of its territory, as well as the achievement of peace and prosperity therein.”
