Al-Sahel Club’s football director, Jamal Al-Otaibi, praised the significant efforts made by the players and both the current and former technical and administrative staff, which resulted in the team’s qualification for the Zain League Premier Division before the final round of the First Division competition, held today.
Al-Otaibi emphasized that the cooperation, high morale, and determination of everyone, along with the support of the club’s president and board members, were the main reasons behind securing one of the promotion spots to the Premier League. He said, “The club will not fall short in supporting its players and will strive to back the team through all available means and within existing capacities. Over the coming days, we aim to strengthen the squad with various new signings. We also plan to hold an overseas training camp, most likely in Cairo, during the upcoming break in the Premier League, which follows the conclusion of the third round of the second half of the season in mid-September. We hope that the ‘Sons of Abu Halifa’ will deliver strong performances in a tournament that typically features intense competition at all stages.”
Al-Otaibi noted that coach Ali Abdul-Razzaq has carried out his technical duties to the fullest and deserves support from everyone, especially given that he took charge during a short and challenging period. He pointed out the difficulties Al-Sahel faces in hosting its Premier League matches due to technical issues related to television broadcasting, adding that several alternative stadiums are available, such as Naif Al-Dabous Stadium and Al-Shabab Club Stadium, and that no efforts will be spared in this regard.
