In line with its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and investment in the development of future national talent, Bank Al-Bilad successfully concluded the latest edition of its summer training program, “Path,” following a four-week training journey involving 28 students.
The program was developed in collaboration with CODED Academy, featuring children of Bank Al-Bilad employees and trainees from Loyak. It combined theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the banking sector, alongside the development of digital skills, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship, thereby enhancing participants’ readiness for their future academic and professional stages.
The program concluded with a graduation ceremony and a showcase of students’ projects, during which participants presented their graduation projects, their experiences, and the knowledge and skills they acquired throughout the program, in front of a jury panel comprising several senior executives from Bank Al-Bilad. The ceremony also honored outstanding participants with awards for “Best Sales” and “Best Application and Project Idea,” recognizing their creativity and ability to apply what they learned during the program and transform their ideas into practical projects.
The program offers a comprehensive experience that blends theoretical education with practical application. It includes workshops conducted by CODED Academy aimed at enhancing financial literacy, digital capabilities, and field skills among participants, while also broadening their horizons and familiarizing them with promising career opportunities in the banking sector and keeping pace with general labor market requirements.
The “Path” program comes within the efforts of Bank Al-Bilad to consolidate a culture of continuous learning, support its employees and their families, and strengthen collaboration with educational institutions. The program also provides young people with the opportunity to closely observe the work environment and develop a range of practical, digital, financial, and personal skills that help them better prepare for future academic and professional opportunities.
On this occasion, Fatima Ahmed, Senior Manager of Corporate Culture and Employee Engagement at Bank Al-Bilad, said: “We are proud that participants completed a full month-long training journey that combined banking culture, digital skills, entrepreneurship, and practical experience across various sectors of Bank Al-Bilad. The graduation projects reflected the knowledge and skills students acquired during the program, as well as the creativity, confidence, teamwork spirit, and ability to turn their ideas into viable projects they demonstrated.”
She added: “Through the ‘Path’ program, we aim to provide young people with the opportunity to learn through experience, discover their potential, and gain a deeper understanding of the work environment. The progress we observed among participants and the quality of the projects they presented at the end of the program confirm the importance of investing in high-quality experiences that contribute to preparing national talent for the requirements of the future labor market.”
For her part, Nida Danchi, Manager of Professional Empowerment at Loyak, said: “We are pleased to collaborate with Bank Al-Bilad through the ‘Path’ summer training program, which provided young people with the opportunity to undergo a real practical experience and closely observe the work environment, thereby contributing to the development of their professional and personal skills and enhancing their readiness for the future.” She added: “Such experiences contribute to developing a range of essential skills among young people, including teamwork, effective communication, responsibility, and problem-solving, while giving them greater confidence as they transition to their upcoming academic and professional stages.”
