In line with its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and its role in supporting and empowering young talent, Talabat, the leading on-demand services app in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), announced the renewal of its strategic sponsorship of the Academy X initiative, continuing its sustained support for this pioneering program.
Led by CODED Academy, Academy X is the largest initiative in Kuwait for empowering women in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship. The continuity of this partnership reflects Talabat’s dedication to supporting national talent, fostering a digital culture, and strengthening the innovation ecosystem and economic development in the State of Kuwait, in alignment with the objectives of Kuwait Vision 2035.
The partnership renewal was announced during a joint press conference attended by all program sponsors, where participants outlined the program’s vision, upcoming cohorts, and future aspirations. Among the key speakers was Amal Bu-Khamsin, Director of Corporate Affairs at Talabat Kuwait, who emphasized the importance of building a comprehensive technological ecosystem that provides equal opportunities for all and enhances the alignment between educational outcomes and labor market requirements.
Amal Bu-Khamsin stated, “Empowering the next generation of female leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) is one of the core pillars of Talabat’s corporate social responsibility strategy. We are pleased to renew our partnership with CODED Academy for the third consecutive year, driven by our belief in the importance of equipping girls with future-ready skills, modern technologies, and practical experience to meet industry demands. We also aim to boost their confidence in their abilities, enabling them to innovate, create, and lead. Our investment in youth is a direct investment in Kuwait’s digital future.”
For his part, Hashim Bahbahani, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of CODED, said during the press conference launching the initiative: “Academy X is more than just a training program; it is a platform that opens new horizons for girls to experience innovation and shape the future. We believe that skills related to artificial intelligence and technology are no longer optional extras but have become essential tools for success across various fields, from entrepreneurship and marketing to design and digital solution development.”
Bahbahani added, “At CODED, we work to create an environment that equips participants with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to transform their ideas into tangible projects and achievements. The success of Academy X graduates year after year confirms the vast potential of Kuwaiti girls when provided with the right opportunities and support. We extend our sincere gratitude to our partners and sponsors who share this vision and contribute to empowering a new generation of ambitious young women to play an active role in building a more innovative and impactful future.”
The program continues to rely on a comprehensive core curriculum covering key skills and areas, including mobile app and website development, user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design, leadership, soft skills, and entrepreneurship fundamentals.
Simultaneously, this year’s program introduces a new specialized training session on Claude AI. This session focuses on empowering participants with professional prompt engineering skills, enabling them to build practical applications directly while leveraging AI technologies in marketing, business development, and digital innovation. This update aims to equip participants, aged 14 to 18, with the latest tools and technologies shaping the future of the global technology sector.
Academy X continues to solidify its position as a leading platform providing Kuwaiti girls with unique opportunities to gain practical experience in tech entrepreneurship. During its intensive program, students participate in hands-on workshops, interact with a select group of industry experts and specialists, and work in collaborative teams to develop innovative ideas and projects.
The program concludes with a capstone project, where participants apply their acquired skills and knowledge to present innovative digital solutions addressing real challenges in their communities, showcased before a panel of experts and industry veterans.
Notably, the renewal of this partnership reflects the shared commitment of Talabat and CODED to continue empowering the next generation of female leaders in the technology sector, preparing them to contribute to sustainable development and actively participate in shaping the digital future.
