Head of the Public Authority for Health Care: Beneficiary Satisfaction is a Top Priority

Cairo - Nadeh Imam: Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Healthcare, held an extensive meeting with the Authority’s senior leadership and branch directors in governorates implementing the Comprehensive Healthcare Insurance system, to review indicators of healthcare service delivery, performance, operations, patient waiting lists, and readiness levels across all General Authority for Healthcare facilities, as part of continuous follow-up to enhance operational efficiency and elevate the quality of medical services provided to beneficiaries.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki emphasized that beneficiary satisfaction is a top priority for the Authority, and that meeting their healthcare needs as quickly as possible constitutes a core pillar in developing the system’s operations. He directed the continuous, effective monitoring of beneficiary satisfaction indicators and the enhancement of rapid response mechanisms to their requirements and feedback, thereby supporting the delivery of a distinguished healthcare experience and strengthening citizens’ trust in the Comprehensive Healthcare Insurance system.
The Authority’s Chairman directed the formation of a committee for operational governance, to enhance integration among various relevant entities, improve decision-making efficiency, and support the development of operational pathways and surgical interventions. The committee’s findings and recommendations will be submitted to the Authority’s Medical Advisory Council and Internal Audit Department, thereby institutionalizing a methodology for continuous development and performance enhancement. He also stressed the importance of discipline and organizing service delivery pathways within healthcare facilities, to facilitate citizens’ access to medical services, accelerate procedural completion, and elevate the beneficiary experience.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki further directed the study of a comprehensive project to establish and develop specialized intensive care units in Comprehensive Healthcare Insurance governorates, tailored to each governorate’s specific nature and needs, leveraging international expertise and successful experiences in managing high-risk and advanced cases. This initiative aims to develop medical staff capabilities and strengthen the critical care system. He also directed the study of establishing centers of excellence in each governorate according to priority specialties and healthcare needs, thereby supporting the localization of highly specialized services and making them accessible closer to citizens.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest levels of readiness within healthcare facilities by ensuring adequate strategic reserves of medicines, medical supplies, blood, and its derivatives, and guaranteeing the continuous availability of necessary resources for various medical interventions. He confirmed the continuation of periodic maintenance programs for medical equipment to support efficient monitoring, alongside reviewing contracts with equipment leasing companies and adding annexes that include clear indicators for response and maintenance rates, thereby enhancing equipment readiness and sustainable operation at the highest efficiency levels.
He decided to award bonuses to the most outstanding personnel involved in managing the Al-Dawawis incident in Ismailia and the Abu Simbel incident in Aswan, in recognition of their rapid response, efficient performance, and effective role in handling the incidents’ repercussions. He affirmed that recognizing outstanding performance serves as a continuous motivator for medical, nursing, technical, and administrative staff, and reinforces a culture of excellence, readiness, and teamwork within the Authority.
The Chairman of the General Authority for Healthcare concluded the meeting by reiterating the commitment to continuing work according to a vision aimed at enhancing operational discipline, accelerating decision-making, improving performance indicators, and investing in medical staff, equipment, and infrastructure. This approach ensures that beneficiaries’ needs, satisfaction, and experience quality remain at the forefront of the Authority’s priorities, and consolidates a sophisticated and sustainable healthcare model that aligns with the highest quality standards.
