Governor of Al-Jahra Receives Representative of the Sports Authority in the Municipal Council

Al-Jahra Governor Hamad Al-Habashi received Dr. Ali Mohammed Kharibit, President of the Union of Specialized Environmental Institutions and Companies, at his office in the General Secretariat of the Governorate. The meeting addressed a number of environmental topics and issues relevant to Al-Jahra Governorate, and discussed the “Environmentally Sustainable Governorate” initiative, exploring ways to cooperate and leverage the capacities of specialized environmental institutions and companies to serve the initiative’s objectives and support efforts aimed at enhancing environmental sustainability in the governorate. The governor emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination with specialized entities and institutions, which would contribute to supporting environmental initiatives, mitigating negative environmental manifestations, and improving the environmental standards across various areas of the governorate.

For his part, Dr. Ali Mohammed Kharibit appreciated Al-Jahra Governor’s interest in environmental issues, affirming the Union’s readiness to cooperate in relevant fields to help achieve shared goals.

Al-Jahra Governor Hamad Al-Habashi also received Eng. Sara Faisal Al-Kharji, a candidate nominated by the Public Authority for Sports for membership in the Al-Jahra Governorate Council, representing the Authority. During the meeting, several topics related to the youth and sports sector within Al-Jahra Governorate were discussed, along with ways to enhance coordination and cooperation between the governorate and the Authority. This cooperation aims to help monitor the sector’s needs and support the work of the Governorate Council and its relevant committees. The governor stressed the importance of giving due attention to persons with disabilities within sports programs and services, and working to provide what meets their needs and enhances their participation and benefit from the governorate’s sports activities and facilities.

For her part, Eng. Sara Al-Kharji expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the Al-Jahra Governor for his interest and support for the youth and sports sector, affirming her commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination to serve the governorate’s residents and support the work of the Governorate Council.
