From Coastal to 'Excellent'.. Three-Way Race for the Second Spot

Al-Sahel secured promotion to the Premier League for next season after drawing 0-0 with Al-Salhiyah in the final match of the 20th round of the Zain League First Division football competition yesterday evening. With this result, Al-Sahel moved to the top of the table with 44 points, while Al-Salhiyah advanced to second place with 41 points.

In other results, Al-Yarmouk dropped to third place after losing to Al-Jazira 2-0, with their tally remaining at 40 points. Meanwhile, Al-Jazira’s hopes of securing the second promotion spot to the Premier League were boosted, as they moved to 38 points. The two goals were scored by Marwan Ziad and Mohammed Salah.

Khaitan defeated Sporty 5-0, raising their points total to 24, while the losers remained on 6 points.

Buran also secured a victory, beating Al-Shamya 4-1 to move up to 20 points, while Al-Shamya remained on 10 points.
