Artist Milad Youssef spoke about the behind-the-scenes aspects of his first experience hosting a program through “Al-Ikhtiyar,” emphasizing that transitioning from acting to moderating dialogues presented a new challenge for him, as he was accustomed to sitting in the guest’s chair rather than the host’s. He noted that the most difficult aspect of the experience lay in choosing the right timing for posing questions and managing the rhythm of the conversation.
According to the “Fawasya” website, Milad added that he initially faced difficulties as an actor venturing into a new field, which prompted him to seek out methods that would help him moderate dialogues professionally. Gradually, he managed to adapt to the nature of this role. He pointed out that “Al-Ikhtiyar” features a group of artistic stars, stressing that the goal was not to present a conventional talk show, but rather content with a distinct identity that reflects the perspectives of artists and actors. He affirmed that the media landscape is rich with interview programs and podcasts, expressing his respect for all such endeavors, but he emphasized that the production team was keen on delivering unique material bearing their own distinctive imprint.
Regarding the possibility of hosting a figure with whom he had previously had disagreements, Milad Youssef clarified that all his guests so far have maintained good relationships with him. However, if he were ever placed in such a situation in the future, he would handle it with the utmost professionalism, just as he does when acting in a scene with a fellow actor with whom he may have personal differences. He stressed that professional ethics require him to separate personal relationships from work.
