"Arab Stars Sing of Love for Kuwait" at Jaber Cultural Center

The Drama Theater at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center is preparing to host a musical evening titled “Arab Stars Singing for Kuwait” on the 30th, marking the conclusion of the eighteenth edition of the “Summer Cultural” festival, organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters.

The evening goes beyond the direct national anthem, opening a broader window onto Kuwait’s relationship with Arabic music and the Arab voices that have become embedded in the Kuwaiti public’s consciousness through works that remain vivid despite the passage of years.

On stage, the audience will meet artists Adel Al-Mass, Abdulaziz Al-Musbah, and Saud Al-Faiz, accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Maestro Dr. Mohammed Al-Buainain, in a program that revisits some of the most famous songs performed by Arab singers for Kuwait, such as Umm Kulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez, Afaf Rashed, and Farid Al-Atrash, whether national or romantic.

What distinguishes this night is that it does not treat the past as mere archive, but gives it a new opportunity to connect with today’s audience. Some songs associated with a specific era remain capable of stirring memory and evoking images, names, and experiences that people lived through with those voices.

Perhaps the value of the evening lies precisely in this aspect: when a song is sincere, it does not end with its time. It remains in memory and always finds someone to reinterpret it with a fresh spirit, especially when it is tied to an emotional bond between the Arab artist and Kuwait. The evening serves as a memorable finale to the “Summer Cultural 18” events, which delighted Kuwaitis and residents with various art forms, providing spaces for entertainment away from the hustle of daily life.
