The Ministry of Electricity and Water contributes to the Emergency Response Fund

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced a contribution of US$1 million by Al Amal Energy Company to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, as part of ongoing national initiatives supporting the fund’s resources and objectives.

In a press statement, the Kuwait Fund noted that Al Amal Energy’s inclusion among the contributors reflects the diverse participation in supporting the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, encompassing entities operating in the energy and oil field services sectors. This broadens the contributor base and expands engagement in the initiative.

The contribution strengthens the fund’s financial resources and enhances its capacity to finance priority needs and projects, enabling resources to be directed according to the actual requirements of beneficiary entities. It also supports efforts to address the impacts of emergency conditions and restore the efficiency of vital infrastructure and services.

Established in Kuwait in 2015, Al Amal Energy is a leading company in integrated exploration and production services in Kuwait. It operates a number of drilling rigs across various regions of the country and provides comprehensive services through two main sectors: drilling services and oil field services, leveraging its operational expertise and specialized fleet in this field.

The Kuwait Emergency Response Fund was launched on July 5 last year, initiated by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and approved by the Council of Ministers. The Kuwait Fund manages and oversees the fund’s operations, aiming to provide a flexible financing mechanism to support priority interventions and projects, and to enhance the country’s capacity to respond efficiently and effectively to emergency needs and circumstances.
