Kuwait officials confirmed that the Kuwait Engineers Association supports the establishment of a database encompassing the number of engineers in Arab countries, as well as cataloging available job opportunities, their required skills and specializations, and the alignment of engineers’ qualifications with available opportunities.
This came during the participation of the Association’s representative, Eng. Hamoud Al-Hadithi, in the meetings of the Guidance and Career Counseling Committee of the Union of Arab Engineers, which were recently held at the Union’s headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. The meetings were attended by the Union’s Secretary-General, Dr. Adel Al-Hadithi, the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate’s Dean, Eng. Mohamed Abdelghani Abdelmottaleb, and representatives of Arab engineering syndicates, bodies, and associations.
Al-Hadithi clarified that, in line with the commitment to supporting cooperation between the Association and the Union of Arab Engineers, the objectives of the committee and the reports presented during the meeting were endorsed. He noted that the most prominent of these objectives is to provide a comprehensive database covering all engineering affairs, including the number of Arab engineers and their specializations in each country, as well as available job opportunities and their requirements.
He added, “We were also pleased to participate in the seminar on Engineering Specializations in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, which was held in collaboration between the Union and the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate.” He pointed out that the seminar addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on engineering disciplines and its role in entrepreneurship, codes and standards, and professional ethics amid technological advancements.
