Deputy Minister of Interior: Utilizing the latest systems to enhance the speed of apprehending wanted individuals and supporting investigative efforts

Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahib, accompanied by Assistant Deputy Ministers of Interior and several heads of sectors and security leaders, reviewed a comprehensive introductory presentation delivered by the Human Resources and Information Technology Sector on its operational framework, key systems and services, development projects, and its role in enhancing institutional integration across the various sectors of the Ministry.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, the sector outlined the jurisdictions and tasks of its subordinate departments, as well as the services it provides to support the Ministry’s sectors and meet their human, technical, and security needs. It also highlighted efforts to improve the work environment, enhance performance efficiency, expedite transaction processing, and improve their accuracy and quality.
The presentation covered the latest technological systems used to develop security work tools and enhance the efficiency of information exchange, thereby contributing to the rapid apprehension of wanted individuals, supporting investigative and inquiry efforts, and enabling the efficient and precise handling and resolution of security cases. It also emphasized strengthening the capacity of field sectors to carry out their duties and take necessary actions with the required speed.
The presentation also addressed the electronic services provided by the Ministry of Interior through the unified government electronic services application “Sahel,” along with plans for their development and the addition of more services in the future. These initiatives aim to simplify procedures, expedite transaction processing, reduce burdens on visitors, and minimize the need for personal visits to the Ministry’s offices.
The Deputy Minister of Interior stressed that the Ministry operates under a clear development objective that forms the foundation of its digital transformation journey, rooted in its core responsibilities of safeguarding security and providing services to citizens and residents. He emphasized that developing systems and leveraging modern technologies constitute a fundamental pillar for enhancing the efficiency of security work and elevating the quality of services provided.
At the conclusion of the presentation, Al-Wahib commended the efforts of the Human Resources and Information Technology Sector staff and their pivotal role in supporting the various sectors of the Ministry. He reaffirmed the commitment to continuing the path of development and modernization, enhancing integration between systems and services, thereby raising the efficiency and readiness of the security work system and improving the level of services offered by the Ministry.
