Saudi Cabinet Welcomes the Start of Institutional and Operational Activation of the Multinational Maritime Defense Alliance

His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Council of Ministers meeting held in Jeddah.
The official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated in a bulletin that the Council welcomed the institutional and operational activation of the multinational defensive maritime alliance launched by the Kingdom, following the completion of arrangements for its agencies and organizational and planning frameworks. This marks a new phase of joint work aimed at achieving full operational readiness and carrying out the tasks entrusted to it in enhancing collective maritime security, protecting freedom of navigation and maritime routes and straits, and supporting the continuity of international trade and global supply chains.
The Council of Ministers also welcomed the signing by the Kingdom and the sister Republic of Sudan of the document establishing the Saudi-Sudanese Coordination Council, affirming that this represents a continuation of the two brotherly countries’ commitment to supporting areas of joint coordination, within an institutional framework that contributes to developing cooperation and integration through tangible outcomes, initiatives, projects, and targets that realize the desired aspirations.
