Israeli airstrikes on a military airport near Idlib.. Damascus: Unjustified aggression

Syria condemned the airstrikes carried out by Israel on Abu al-Duhur Airbase in the countryside of Idlib in northwestern Syria, describing them as an “unjustified aggression” and calling on the international community to take a firm stance against repeated violations of its sovereignty.
In a statement, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said that Damascus “strongly condemns the Israeli air raids and considers them an unjustified aggression,” noting that these violations come at a time when “the Syrian state is committed to exercising restraint and working to consolidate stability and avoid escalation.” It urged the UN Security Council to “clearly condemn the aggression and take a firm position against the repeated Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty.”
Meanwhile, three workers at the Baniyas thermal power plant in western Syria were killed in an explosion during maintenance work on a hydrogen tank at the facility, according to an official from the Syrian Electricity Company.
Alaa Souda, head of the Public Relations and Media Department at the Syrian Electricity Company, told the official Sana news agency that “the explosion at the Baniyas thermal power plant resulted from maintenance operations on a hydrogen tank and occurred during the process of replacing the tank’s valve.”
He added that the explosion “killed three workers” at the plant, which continued to operate without being affected by the blast.
The Baniyas thermal power plant, located on the Syrian coast in Tartous Governorate, is one of the country’s key electricity generation facilities.
