President of the Arab Parliament Condemns the Occupation's Rejection of the Roadmap and Peace Plan for Gaza

The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed Al-Yamah, strongly condemned the Israeli occupation’s rejection of the roadmap for completing the implementation of the peace plan in the Gaza Strip under the plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a statement on Monday, Al-Yamah affirmed that this stance constitutes a blatant challenge to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 and reflects a deliberate determination to sabotage political and diplomatic efforts aimed at halting the war and ending the suffering of the Palestinian people.
He stated that the occupation government continues to pursue a policy of evasion and reneging on international commitments, treating peace initiatives with a logic of force and the imposition of facts on the ground. This clearly reveals that the continuation of aggression and the prolongation of the war represent a political choice embraced by the occupation government, indifferent to the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe endured by civilians in the Gaza Strip.
He welcomed the joint statement issued by several Arab and Islamic countries, which held the occupation responsible for obstructing peace efforts, emphasizing that this unified Arab and Islamic position sends a clear political message to the international community regarding the necessity of moving beyond condemnation to taking practical and binding measures to halt Israeli violations and compel the occupation to comply with resolutions of international legitimacy.
He stressed that the occupation’s rejection of the roadmap does not merely aim to sabotage a specific political initiative, but rather seeks to undermine any realistic prospect for establishing just and comprehensive peace. He reiterated that the current occupation government has become the primary obstacle to regional and international efforts aimed at ending the conflict and achieving security and stability in the region.
He called on the international community and regional and international parliaments to adopt a firmer stance against Israeli intransigence, to compel the occupation to adhere to the roadmap and ensure the implementation of relevant international resolutions, thereby leading to the end of the occupation and the realization of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
