Singer Asala is preparing to return to her audience in the capital, Damascus, after a hiatus spanning several years, a move that has sparked widespread engagement among her fans.
Asala shared a video clip on her official social media accounts, capturing the distinctive atmosphere of the Syrian capital.
The video featured several of Damascus’s most prominent landmarks, including the Umayyad Square, the Umayyad Mosque, and Mount Qasioun. The visuals were accompanied by a segment of a song performed by the late Egyptian artist Mohamed Abdel Moneim, titled “Bta’khodni El Ayyam” (The Days Will Take Me).
Syrian Artists Syndicate head Mazen Al-Natour had previously revealed in statements that Asala is preparing to hold two concerts at the Al-Fayhaa Sports Hall in Damascus.
He specified that the concerts are scheduled for September 17 and 19, noting that they are sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the Syrian Artists Syndicate, according to the “Bousta” website.
Asala’s return to the Syrian artistic scene coincides with her recent musical activity, as she recently released a new song titled “Asala.. Asala,” with lyrics and composition by Amjad Juma and arrangement by Fouad Ghneim.
