Support for the National Product

Support for the National Product

[email protected] You hear it every day: Support national products. But when we enter the supermarket, our hands go for the cheapest or imported items. Then we complain: Why don’t our children have jobs? Why is our economy dependent on oil?

“The crux of the problem”: Loving the country with words is easy. Loving it with your dinar is hard. The Prophet (peace be upon him) loved Mecca because he built it and worked hard there. Do we love Kuwait? Well, where is our construction?

The problem is not that we lack factories. The problem is that we do not trust them. We say “Made in Kuwait” and put a question mark. We buy foreign honey for ten dinars and leave Kuwaiti honey at five dinars, saying we don’t know about it.

The result: A national factory closes down, a Kuwaiti youth stays at home, and our money goes abroad and comes back as a more expensive product.

The solution: Loving the country = a purchasing decision.

People, supporting national products and industries is not pity. This is investment.

1. Your money stays within the country: Every dinar you spend on a Kuwaiti product circulates in our economy. It pays a Kuwaiti salary, opens a Kuwaiti home, and pays taxes that build Kuwaiti schools. If you buy from abroad, goodbye to your money.

2. You create jobs for your children: A factory that sells expands. Expansion means jobs. Instead of your son waiting for the Civil Service Bureau, he can work with dignity in a national factory, head held high.

3. You raise product quality: When we buy and support, the national factory strengthens and competes. In five years, we will export to the Gulf and proudly say “Made in Kuwait,” just as others have done.

The bottom line: Kuwaiti, do not say “I love Kuwait” while buying everything from abroad. Your love is shown on the purchase receipt. Buy Kuwaiti dates, Kuwaiti honey, Kuwaiti furniture, even if they are slightly more expensive. This extra cost is not a loss; it is charity for your country and an investment for your children.

Tourism projects can play a major role here. Open a national products corner in every park and recreational area. Let tourists see our honey, our dates, and our handicrafts. Let Kuwaitis take pride before foreigners.

Kuwait does not want talk; it wants a purchase receipt. May God protect it, protect its makers, and bless every dinar spent in our economy.
