Saudi Arabia and Sudan sign document establishing Joint Coordination Council

Riyadh, SPA: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Sudan signed a document establishing a Joint Coordination Council between the two countries. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement relayed by the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that “the establishment of the Council stems from the keenness of both countries to raise the level of cooperation and coordination between them, making the Council an effective institutional platform to develop and enhance bilateral relations, and an institutional framework that brings together relevant parties from both sides to work on tangible outcomes through clear initiatives, projects, and targets, thereby strengthening cooperation and integration and fulfilling the aspirations of the leaderships and peoples of the two brotherly countries.” The Saudi Foreign Ministry further noted that Foreign Minister His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mohiuddin Salem Ahmed Ibrahim signed the document at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh.
