Damascus - SANA: The Ministry of Education confirmed that the 2026-2027 academic year will see the implementation of unified curricula across all Syrian governorates, thereby strengthening the unity of the educational process and ensuring a standardized educational reference and equity among all students and their academic content in different regions.
In a statement to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) yesterday, the ministry clarified that the curriculum for the 2025-2026 academic year, known as the "Damascus Curriculum," will be adopted throughout all Syrian governorates during the 2026-2027 academic year. It emphasized that the approved curricula are available on the ministry’s new official website.
The Ministry of Education set September 6 of next year as the start date for official classes in all public and private schools, as well as institutions under its jurisdiction.
The ministry further stated that it has completed the preparation of national standards for the new curricula and is now moving to the next phase, which is curriculum authoring. This effort is part of initiatives to update educational content in alignment with pedagogical needs, with the subsequent stage dedicated to the authoring of the new curricula.
