After a 12-year halt, Public Works resumes completion of Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge

Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, conducted an inspection visit to the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge project to monitor the final stages of completion and follow up on construction activities. This coincided with the opening of a section of the bridge for traffic coming from the Sixth Ring Road in Salamiyah heading toward 604 Road (Kabd), as well as the opening of the exit for traffic coming from the Sixth Ring Road in Jahra heading toward 604 Road (Kabd), in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.

This development comes within the framework of efforts to complete the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge project, which had seen work halted for approximately 12 years, before construction and completion resumed at an accelerated pace as part of the Ministry of Public Works’ plans to drive vital projects toward completion.

This progress is the result of intensified field monitoring by Minister Al-Mashaan and ministry teams, along with her directives to accelerate work progress and fulfill construction requirements, leading to the final stages of the project.

The project’s advancement reflects the synergy of government efforts and cooperation among various relevant entities, under the high-level support and guidance of the political leadership aimed at accelerating the implementation of developmental and strategic projects and enhancing the country’s infrastructure.

The Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge is considered a vital project that, upon completion, will contribute to improving traffic flow on the Sixth Ring Road and 604 Road (Kabd), enhancing the efficiency of the road network, and serving the residents of the area, thereby positively impacting traffic movement in the region.
