After a 12-year hiatus, the Ministry of Public Works resumes construction of the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge

Public Works Minister Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan conducted an inspection visit to the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge project to monitor the final stages of completion and follow up on construction activities. This coincided with the opening of a section of the bridge for traffic coming from the Sixth Ring Road in Salamiya heading toward 604 Road (Kabd), as well as the opening of the exit for traffic coming from the Sixth Ring Road in Jahra heading toward 604 Road (Kabd), in cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic.

This development comes amid efforts to complete the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge project, which had seen work halted for approximately 12 years, before construction and completion resumed at an accelerated pace as part of the Public Works Ministry’s plans to drive vital projects toward completion.

This progress is the result of intensified field monitoring by Minister Al-Mashaan and ministry teams, along with her directives to accelerate work and fulfill construction requirements, leading to the project’s final stages.

The project’s advancement reflects the fruits of integrated government efforts and collaboration among various relevant entities, under the support and high-level guidance of the political leadership aimed at accelerating the implementation of developmental and strategic projects and enhancing the country’s infrastructure.

The Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge is considered a vital project that, upon completion, will contribute to improving traffic flow on the Sixth Ring Road and 604 Road (Kabd), enhancing the efficiency of the road network and serving the local community, thereby positively impacting traffic movement in the area.
