Gold Continues Gains for Third Consecutive Week; Ounce at $4,400

Gold prices rose today (Monday), supported by a weaker US dollar and recent economic data that eased expectations for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates next month.
Spot gold rose 0.4% to $4,391.07 per ounce during today’s trading, after hitting its highest level in more than two months last week.
US December gold futures also rose 0.3% to $4,448.10.
The US dollar index fell 0.1%, making dollar-denominated metals less expensive for holders of other currencies.
