Ministry of Food: Closure of 5 Food Establishments and 40 Violations Recorded in Al-Jahra

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced that it recorded 40 diverse violations in Al-Jahra Governorate, the most prominent of which was the display and marketing of food items unfit for human consumption, alongside taking the necessary legal measures against the offending establishments, including the closure of five food establishments. In a press statement, the Authority said this came as part of periodic supervisory campaigns conducted by its inspection monitoring representatives in Al-Jahra Governorate, targeting warehouses and factories under the governorate’s jurisdiction to verify their compliance with the laws, regulations, and requirements approved by the Authority. It reaffirmed its ongoing, regular, and periodic supervisory efforts across various food establishments to ensure adherence to health standards and approved regulations, enhance food safety levels, and protect consumer health.
